About the Role
The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for developing and managing paid campaigns across LinkedIn, Google Ads, Meta, and various Display Service Providers (e.g. AdRoll), in order of importance.
While the campaign goals will vary across platforms and clients, this role is responsible for optimizing campaigns around the lead/traffic/etc. goals, as specified for each campaign. This includes strategic decisions like which platforms to be on in the first place, how to structure campaigns, etc., as well as more tactical work like weekly keyword/placement/etc. optimization.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on execution, loves problem-solving, and is committed to continuous learning within their discipline.
Responsibilities
Execution & Quality
- Assist in the development of Paid Media Plans for clients, working closely with Strategists (over Zoom, and reasonably within the EST timezone) to do so.
- Build out campaigns across a variety of ad platforms for clients across the B2B tech space.
- Configure proper conversion tracking and reporting across paid media campaigns (tag setup, testing, reporting)
- Continuously improve paid campaigns towards improved ROAS (targeting adjustments and bid optimizations, keyword review/adjustments, budget management, etc
- Report to client managers the major KPIs for each campaign, rationale for updates you make, and future recommendations as we seek continuous improvement.
- Track time accurately and ensure work is completed efficiently and within spec.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with strategists, channel heads, and other specialists to ensure we are utilizing paid budget effectively through both Slacks and Zoom calls.
- Clearly communicate expectations and potential roadblocks to internal teams regarding campaigns.
- Participate in Zoom meetings, creative reviews, and feedback sessions to continuously improve campaign outputs.
- Serve as the paid media subject-matter expert across the agency, helping team members in strategy, content, design, and analytics understand how paid channels support and amplify their work.
Continuous Improvement & Learning
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices related to paid media channels, tools, and strategy.
- Experiment with new techniques, technologies, and strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proactively seek feedback and apply it to refine your work.
