About the Role

The Head of Content owns the systems and strategy behind scalable, high-quality content production for our B2B clients. This role focuses on building an operationally excellent content function, enabling junior writers and strategists to execute at a high level using defined processes, AI-enhanced tools, and proven best practices.

This is a client-facing and cross-functional role, focused on building content systems and workflows in close collaboration with Strategy and Creative teams. While strong writing is foundational, this role is less about being a hands-on copywriter and more about building the infrastructure to make great content happen at scale.

Responsibilities

Systems-Driven Content Operations

  • Build and evolve content systems that enable consistent quality at scale (prompt libraries, AI workflows, SOPs) across a variety of written mediums (ads, blogs, ebooks, etc.)
  • Implement QA protocols, review templates, and tone/voice standards
  • Optimize workflows and delegate execution to junior writers
  • Ensure all content systems and workflows incorporate SEO best practices

AI-Enabled Content Strategy

  • Leverage AI tools to ideate, draft, and refine content efficiently
  • Collaborate with developers and MarTech leads to roll out smart content workflows
  • Stay ahead of emerging content technologies and integrate them into processes

Team Leadership & Quality Oversight

  • Mentor a team of junior writers
  • QA client-facing content with an eye for clarity, strategic fit, and polish
  • Conduct training and enablement for content team and cross-functional collaborators

Client Engagement & Partnership

  • Join strategic client calls and presentations focused on content development
  • Align with client strategy leads to develop client-specific content workflows

Success Metrics

  • Utilization Rate: 75%+ billable time focused on a combination of client work and systems development.
